So much to tell you, and not much time right now. My mom fell Saturday night trying to get back up out of her bed to turn on her oxygen which she needs at nights now because she has sleep apnea and emphysema. When she fell, she broke her left hip. My brother and sister were at the bar, and so my mom pressed her emergency help bracelet and the paramedics came, but couldn't get it. So they tracked my brother down, who went to the house to let them in. Around 5 AM, my brother and sister went home to get some sleep. I didn't know about it till noon on Saturday that my mom was even at the hospital. The hospital called at noon to say she was going in to surgery, and that is when my brother called here. So I went up to the hospital at 4:30 that afternoon, about the time she should be out of surgery and back in to her room. No one was there. Ashley and Zach had come with me, and then Ashley's boyfriend, Perry, came up to get Ash so they could run to Target. I stayed with my mom, and Zach went with them. It was about then that I realized that something wasn't wrong quite right with my mom, and she couldn't wake up, even though her surgery had been over nearly 3 hours before. Then her stats started dropping, she couldn't breathe. Long story short, they ended up rushing her to the ICU.
So, I went right back up there first thing this morning after my sister called saying that my mom was having trouble because she couldn't breathe right, and they ended up having to inti bate her. Then tonight, around 6:00, the neurosurgeon came in and tested her. My mom appears to have had a stroke, and possibly one on the right side, and one on the left side of her brain from two blood clots. They will do an MRI tomorrow morning to see exactly where, and how bad it is.
Plus, her best friend is in the Harlan Hospital dying from liver failure. This is a hard time for both families. Please keep us all in your prayers when you think of us.

Family and Friends
We had a wonderful time with our family (6 of our 9 kids & all 6 grandbabies), and our friends, Tammy & Dave (and 5 of 7 of their kids) over this recent Memorial weekend!! We met them at their cabin by Savory Pond for the afternoon for a cook-out, volleyball, and family fun. I am so blessed to have our family, and our friends to be close to. There are two saying that I have come to love that fits our two families very well...they are:
"You don't have 2B blood 2B family."
&
"Friends are the family you get to pick."

"Friends are the family you get to pick."

A Loss & A Birth
Sadly, one of Hailey's baby puppies, the extreme party blue merle little boy, died this morning. (See the picture of the whitest pup below.) His mama must have known something was wrong with him as she kept pushing him away from the other two and pushing him toward the back of their bed. Try as I might, I couldn't keep him alive. :+( However, another PLF dog of mine, Holli, had 2 babies herself this morning! They are beautiful and doing well! I also have another dog in season to be bred! PTL!!!! God is good!

2 New Litters of Puppies
We were blessed last night with 2 beautiful litters of Petite LeFluer puppies! What a blessing to have 8 total, as often times our small breed dogs don't have any more than 1 - 3 each. While it required my staying up till almost 3 a.m., and sitting on the floor between both of the Mamas, I am blessed to have 8 healthy pups, and all that lived!!

Our Oldest Son's First Apt!
Well our oldest son, Zach, and his cousin Brian, have their very first apartment together! They are excited, and so are we, that we got to help them not only find one that was nice and that they could afford, but that our son's credit was good enough to qualify for the apartment on his own merit, and that he and his cousin both enjoy their jobs, and can do this together. It is a nice complex, they have a gas fire place (which will be really nice this next winter), and they have a laundry room in the building, central air, all standard sized appliances, and a place with a pool, playground for their siblings when their families come to visit. We went out and had fun buying all kinds of necessities that we knew they would need...like a can opener, a pizza cutter, silverware, a couple of towels, soap, shampoo...that kind of thing. We also got them some food, condiments, a little meat, bread, etc. for them to start off with. It's an exciting time for them, and us, but a little bit sad thinking that we have 4 kids, out of 9, old enough to be able to move out on their own.
