What a breath of fresh air!!! We have been blessed to try a new curriculum that is based off of the eight American Girl Collection. It is a multisensory learning program that is not only fun and educational history wise, but for a family with 9 children, 4 of whom struggle with Dyslexia, it is a perfect combination! In everything you study, they try to follow the pattern of "Read it, Hear it, See it, Write it, and Do it."
This is not a curriculum for only girls as there are male characters in each book, as well as crafts and suggested field trips that will entertain and engage boys, keep them interested and teach them history in a fun, educational way.
If this sounds like a curriculum you'd like to try, or one that will fit your family, they are having a contest starting on March 1, 2013 - March 10, 2013. It will only take minutes to enter, and it will be worth your time!!! :+)

About Me
- Kelly
- I am a blessed Christian homeschooling mother of 9 wonderful children, our oldest is 28 & they go down in age from there. We have now been homeschooling for 20 years now. I have a wonderful husband named Doug. We live in the country in IA in a small farmhouse that we moved into in May (2007), and have had to completely tear down to the original 2X4s; start everything over from scratch. We are living in it while we continually work on it. I am 47, We have 4 girls & 5 boys so far. We ALSO have 9 grandbabies so far!!! Our oldest daughter and her husband have 5 children under the age of 7. Our second oldest daughter & her husband have 2 children now. Our third daughter and her husband just had their first baby a few months ago. Then our oldest son is also having a second baby. That makes a total of 10 grandbabies under the age of 7!! I also suffer from fibromyalgia, but am so much better now that I don't eat MSG, since I found out that I also am allergic to it, and Red food Dyes. I also have a Pelvic Congested Syndrome, as well as Diabetes & a blood clotting disorder called mthfr. HOWEVER, I am receiving healing in Jesus precious Name!!

What a great opportunity. I have never heard of the Girls of American History Unit, but you describe it so wonderfully. I would love to win it for my girls!
